But I'll try it again once I get the granny smith.
Here is my recipe, don't peel the apples, the color adds 'eye appeal'.

snicker salad
4 granny smith apples, washed, and cubed
4 snickers bars, sliced
1 3 oz box instant vanilla pudding
1 cup cold milk
3/4 of 8oz. tub of cool whip

beat pudding and milk. Mix in cool whip, apples and candy bar pieces. chill and serve. Once all I had was french vanilla pudding, and used that. It is good, and turns into a pretty light yellow color.
