My absolute favorite show is Veronica Mars. I just started watching it at the end of last season and just finished catching up with season 1 and 2 on DVD. It's addicting! There is so much going on - references to movies, literature, etc. The writing is so sharp and witty and the show can be really dark at the same time. I love the whole Logan/Veronica (LoVe) relationship. It's in reruns until January but I'm glad because they're starting at the begining of the season and a lot of it makes more sense than it did the first time around. They will make references to a person or incident that happened several episode ago and unless you've watched it from the begining, it doesn't make as much sense.

Before it got cancelled, Arrested Development was my favorite.
