We have also had to put 2 of our dogs down in the past two years. It was very hard to explain it to my 4yr old. I just told her that "Rocks" was sick and he was hurting too much to fix it. I told her that he was going to fall asleep and not wake. Even for a four year old she understood. Enjoy your last day with her and know that she will be better off. Stay Strong.
