In my experience (and I'm something of a Yankee Candle purist), when I've actually burned Yankee candles, I get very predictably great scent results.

However, if I simply melt their candles or tarts over tealights, the scent fades after each use. I used to think this was to most efficient way of maintaining the scents of Yankee wax longer, but I found that it isn't. While the tart doesn't burn off, the scent does.

I've gone back to burning the Yankee candles rather than melting them repeatedly.

Incidentally, I also like Village candles!! These are becoming a close "second runner-up" for me!
