Please, i'm sorry, one more. I'm not an angry, bitter person, honestly i'm not but madison reminded me of something when she brought up family members that try to tell you how to live your life.
We bought a Jug last year (half pug and half jack russell). My DH always wanted a bulldog. A few months later, there was one at a price that was UNBELIEVABLE. (the pup had been bought then brought back cause the guy's wife said no way at the price. So the owner wanted him to go to a good home while he was still young. So, we hadnt planned on two dogs, have a small place but..... you live once, right?
When i told my aunt, she said, "WHAT???? Trisha, tell me you didnt. You dont need TWO dogs! That's ridiculous. You need a bigger house. Your daughter needs a bigger yard. How much did you spend? I cant believe it."
Okay, let's put things in perspective. I'm 30 years old, educated and working at a job in my field, and work extra jobs occassionaly... just because. My DH works also at a good job for good money. We have a great savings, good checking, no credit cards, and we are doing well. Why no house? Because we are planning, saving as much as we can, and taking OUR TIME. We dont jump at the first house we see.
I had this aunt jump down my throat when i took a leave of absence from college, when I got pregnant, and probably at one time or another, when I wiped my butt wrong. I never said a word but this time I went off on her.
How dare she tell ME what we didnt need? my daughter is very well provided for, as well as my stepson and why not have two dogs if we can provide for them as well? We work HARD! We deserve to get WHAT WE WANT! Our dogs are trained and obedient and my DD has learned so much responsibility and is GREAT with them. And two dogs is better than one, at least for me, because they entertain each other and actually we never had to train the bully cause he learned from the older dog right away!
K, i'm done. For now. Sorry. Really. Just one of those days.
