I agree with the rest who warned about NJ. Our property taxes are $18K, and we are being reassessed, so they will go up again. We do not have a mansion by any means.
We have the highest car insurance rates in the country.
We have the highest health insurance rates in the country.
NJ charges to go on the beaches.
We have toll booths EVERYWHERE on our highways.
And yet our state govt is "out of money" and actually shut down over the summer because they could not balance the budget.
It is a mess. We have stayed because our families are here, but are looking into relocating. I can't imagine how my children will be able to buy their first homes, and live a reasonable life, in this state.
What a shame, and what a legacy for our politicians.
