I just posted on the going out on New Year's thread and thought about what am I going to bring!?


The party is at a neighbors house, older couple with lots of money! Very expensive party from what I hear, we have to get dressed up and everything, no kids. I asked what I can bring when he invited us and of course he said "nothing", it's all catered.

They don't drink and neither do we, but there will be alcohol there. I didn't want to bring that, but we do have a bottle of cognac that someone gave us and we will never drink?

I need a classy idea of something to bring, I can't show up empty handed?

I thought about making one of my famous New York style cheesecakes, they really are good, but is that too cheap or blue collar? kwim?
