I always give money as a wedding gift. My dh family and friends are from back east and they give gifts at the wedding shower and only money for the wedding. With this being a third marriage and both of them probably older and on their own they don't need a bunch of stuff. They probably already have 1 or 2 of everything, and if they need something then they can buy it with a gift of money. LOL As for the amount I would go by what you can afford. I have been to very expensive weddings where there is no way I can give the bride and groom as much as the parents are paying for the dinners. For a good friend who invited my whole family I would give $50 to $100.
