DH and I have already agreed that when our boys (14 and 12 now) are ready to go to college and have jobs, more than likely, they'll be living at home. We WILL charge them rent (we're thinking $400 a month). They too, are both being given acres of our family farm to build on. We'll be "secretly" keeping and investing their $400 a month and giving it to them as a down payment on their new homes. We think it'll be a nice surprise, while their feeling responsible in paying their way!
