Gotta share my own of course
On one of our moves we had stored our stuff in a garage for a month.
While unpacking we found half eaten packages of yeast.. not a good mouse food.. didn't seee any live ones and figured they died in the garage.
Sitting reading one day and my then 2 1/2 yr old DS came walking up, something in hand and said "look". Doing the typical mom thing, I reached out while not really looking at what he had. He hands me a dead mouse!
I screech, throw the thing on the floor and DH comes running.
DS is looking at me all bewildered and DH is scolding me for scaring our son.

And another...
Our first apt was in an old Victorian house, lots of trees right next to our windows. There were times during the day that we heard squirrels climbing the side of the house.. didn't think anything of it.
Being a relative new housewife, I made and burned a batch of peanut butter cookies. I left them in a paperbag to take out to the trash later.
My friend was sleeping in the living room and we heard a shout.
We ran out from our bedroom and saw a squirrel running out the now torn window screen with burnt cookies in his mouth.
Crafty little animal ate thru the screen and came in for a treat.
We kept the window closed all that summer until we moved!
