I have 21 year old twin boys that go to college and work full-time. We charge $100 each per month. They both make good money with their jobs. They paid half cash for their brand new cars. They pay their own car insurance, cell phones and college. When they were 15 they started working and learned to save their money. I am trying to teach them responsiblity with charging them rent. The total of $200 per month really doesn't even cover the grocery bill in one week for a family of 5

Plus having them pay their own college really keeps them more motivated knowing it's their own money and not party time like some kids do. They are saving to buy their own home and not have to waste on renting a apartment.
