The coolest job I ever had was when I was a teenager -- I was a summer missionary for Child Evangelism Fellowship. We would set up for a week in a neighborhood (sort of like a neighborhood Vacation Bible School) and all the neighborhood kids would come. We'd have snacks, kool-aid , games and funny/cute songs and tell them stories with flannelgraph and picture books from the Bible. The kids would come running when they saw our car!! That was over 30 years ago. Sometimes I pass by the places where we would set up and wonder whatever happened to the kids......
