| Supper swap?
I was reading in a local mag here about a new "thing" that is supposedly sweeping the country and wondered if anyone had heard of or done it? And how they think I should go about starting my own!
It is called supperswap. The concept is simple, several familes in a co-op type situation, where one family per day cooks for all the families and delivers the pre-cooked meals to each family, thereby providing a home cooked meal every day of the week(or however many families you have). It seems like a good idea to me, then I would only have to cook one day a week, but since I would be getting meals the other 3 or 4 days, I would still be able to eat at home. Being a new mom to be, this would be super! And one of my resolutions for the new year is to not eat out as much and since I am having a baby, I want to start eating at home as a family more often, so this would help with all of those things!
I like to cook too, sometimes, so this would be good for me too, motivation to actually cook, but I wouldn't have too if I didn't want too. I could always prepare a "batch" of pre-made meals as well so that if I really am not up to cooking as well..
So has anyone done this? Pointers, recipes, ideas on getting started, anyone in Manchester, NH wanna give it a try?? LOL
