AMEN to that!! I have to say that I dont agree with everything President Bush has done, but I respect him...What ever happened to respect for the office of President of the United States??? I think the total lack of respect for the office is pathetic....What ever happenecd to respecting someone for standing up for what they believe in??? The President has done some good things...we havent been attacked since 9-11....We have caught many would be terrorist killers...and frankly I would rather fight them over there than here!!!I heard a Democrat say on the news last night that we needed to negoiate with the middle east??? If they can figure out how to negoiate with someone who has been taught to hate the USA since the day they were born and who dont mind strapping a bomb on and killing themselves and many others, well then I will give them all the credit in the world

But I wont hold my breathe. It seems everyone has forgotten about the al quida training camps in Iraq....What about Saddam's flat out refusal to comply with UN resolutions after given chance after chance???? Everyone faults Bush for the WMD faulty intelligence but how many dem's believed he had them too? Here are just a few quotes:
There is no doubt that Saddam Hussein's regime is a serious danger, that he is a tyrant, and that his pursuit of lethal weapons of mass destruction cannot be tolerated. He must be disarmed." -- Ted Kennedy, Sept 27, 2002
"Iraq does pose a serious threat to the stability of the Persian Gulf and we should organize an international coalition to eliminate his access to weapons of mass destruction. Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to completely deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." -- Al Gore, 2002
It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security." -- Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002
I could go on and on...its a clear double standard they heard the same intelligence...Now before you ask if this war directly affects me...Yes it does, I for one have a son and Ihave a nephew who has served in IraqERVED In Iraq and is getting ready to go back...He says the biggest downer is hearing people say they dont believe in this war...but the support the soldiers...he says you cant have it both ways..if you dont support the war you dont support what these soldiers are doing....He says if thats how you feel, save your breathe soldiers dont want to hear it...He says no one in the states sees how much good that has been done in Iraq because the liberal media wont show it. He said he fights shoulder to shoulder with Iraqis who are like brothers and are so thankful they are there.
But now I will get off my soap box...as for the State of the Union, No I didnt watch for the first time since W's Presidency..... couldnt stand the thoughts of looking at Nancy Pelosi....the sight of her makes my skin crawl
