I thought that was what we tried to do in Korea and Vietnam(learn to win of foreign soil). That didn't work out too well for us, now did it?
Korea wasn't a huge success, Vietnam was resounding failure that resulted in death and destruction. Vietnam left a legacy of horror that many Vets still deal with on a daily basis.
If we had our military
HERE to protect our borders then I think the threat of an invasion would certainly be lessened. We can't even keep out illegal Mexicans that just want to work! Do you honestly think that the borders are secure enough now to prevent an attack? I mean if you do, then please pass me whatever rose colored glasses you are looking through so that I can feel a sense of security and comfort.
To heck with our President, God Bless the men and women who by volunteering to serve our country are forced to follow Bush's master plan.
I honestly can not see how any intelligent thinking person can continue to support Bush! He's lied, abused his power, placed American troops in a no-win situation. And now he wants to send 22,000 more to that sandy h*ll hole? NO! It should stop here. Look deep in your heart and in your brain. Do you honestly believe that the US will ever win in Iraq? Do you believe that we are still fighting the war on terror that began on 9/11? Why can't we defend our own borders? Do you honestly believe that any country would come to our aide now(if we needed it)? I say kick Bush back to his ranch in Crawford.
