I was working at a Wendy's inside a mall and my DH used to be a regular. I would see him coming and take my break with him. We were great friends. We were both dating other people and neither really thought of the other as dating material. Then, he changed his mind and asked me out several times and he just was not my "type" to date.

I started dating a guy I worked with who proceded to dump me, very badly. He was a complete jerk about it and acted like he thought he was the best the thing that ever happened to me. He told me one afternoon that I was not over him and he knew I still wanted him especially since I had not dated since he dumped me (which had been just a few days before). My DH walks in, having no idea this guy had just said this and asked me out again. I said yes..ONLY because I wanted to show this jerk that I had moved on. DH and I went out that night and then talked until 3 AM. I KNEW that night that I was going to marry him. We got married a year and a half later and have been married for 18 years.
