Our grandparents worked for the same company, so we first met when I was about 8-9 and he was 9-10 at a 4th of July party. I thought he was a jerk because he kept throwing fireworks towards me and scaring me.

Fast forward to middle school (not remembering we had met before) and I kept seeing him at school and thinking he was the cutest thing ever (and he didn't know I was alive).

Then my freshman year of HS, my best friend at the time, and his best friend at the time were brother and sister, so we hung out together all the time.

A year later, we had both gotten out of long term puppy love type relationships, and we became really good friends. I started teasing him about us dating and going to prom together (he was soooooo shy then). We started dating 10 years ago next month. When he joined the ARMY people said we would never last. We got married two weeks after I graduated HS, and that was 8 years ago this summer.
