Our parents were friends growing up and he came to our house once. I was too shy to come out of my room and so he never met me!

UNTIL..............

Years later, we had both finished with college and were back in our home town with new jobs. I was teaching First Grade and mentioned to his mother that I wished that I could play the guitar since it was a small school and I had to teach Music to my students. She told her son that I wanted guitar lessons. So, he called me and asked me when I wanted to start. It was a set-up!

Anyway, I took lessons for about two weeks and could play the "Alphabet Song" and was DONE with that! B


But, we got along so well and really enjoyed each other's company and it blossomed from there.

We dated for two years and have been married for 17. Wow! He's my best friend and never waivers in his love for me. I feel very blessed that we get along so well and still truly enjoy being together after all of these years.

Someone mentioned shorts up above... At my first guitar lesson, he was wearing these 80's teensy-tiny jersey shorts that left for little for the imagination! Yikes. That really threw shy little ol' me for a loop but I managed to get past it... Although I still tease him about it!
