My best firend and BIL brought us together. My best friend is in AA and we went to a New Years Eve party and it was very boring since we were the youngest ones there. Someone suggested another AA Party to go to since there were younger people there. I swear, if you didn't know it was and AA party you would've thought everyone was drunk. Well.....the Dh was there since his brother went to AA also. I'm very shy when it comes to people (since I've always been overweight) and he came right over and said "I give very good back rubs" and then asked me to dance. We did exchange numbers, but didn't think nothing of it. He did call and we dated for a bit (this was in 1986). We lost touch because he just got out of a bad relationship. I didn't know where he moved too so I looked up his name in the phone book and sent him a card and a few days later he showed up on my parents doorstep and he hasn't left since! LOL This was in September 1988. He proposed on December 10 that year (which is also my b-day). We've been married since 1993. Sometimes I'd like to kill him but he is a sweetheart (at times LOL)
