Going into the marriage, Dh and were both in agreement that we wanted children some day. We were married over 4 years before we both decided we were ready for children. It was a slow growing but overwhelming desire that totally eclipsed any of our fears or doubts about parenthood. I don't know how you would get through all the ups and downs of conception ( for those of us who had problems), pregnancy, and raising children without that unwavering commitment.
