I went to visit my cousin and she kept telling me about this guy who was so hot, etc...
We had a party that night and all the guys her boyfriend ( now hubby ) worked with came, along with "hot-boy"...lol. Talked to him a bit but really liked the look of his room-mate!
Ended up at a club the next night and all of the crowd seemed to show up too, room-mate included. We sat and talked all night since we both had decided not to drink after the party the night before! We hung out for my entire vacation and made lots of plans to visti/call/etc after I went home. ( I knew I was in love with him within a week, even though I tried to talk myself out of it....lol)
before that could happen he got shipped out an a slow boat to Saudi Arabia! we had been writing and calling almost daily and now I could not get anything! It was a month before I got a bundle of letters! I had been writing and hoping for the best but I was about to tackle the mailman and write DH a serious &*^% you letter....lol.
We continued to write shoeboxes full of letters and had the occasional collect calls at 3am when he could get to a phone! He came home 8½ months later but I didn't believe he was coming that day since it was April Fools day...lol My first meeting of my future MIL and SIL was when they picked me up to go meet him.
We were engaged by mid May and married in July one year to the day we met!
We will be married 16 years this July!
