AshnZach, that school sounds like the school where my dgd goes. Walkers and car riders wait outside until a certain time, (not sure what time as she rides the bus) Is it in a city school or county school? The one I'm referring to begins with M. There are several registered sex offenders in that general area also. Great place for young kids to be out and unattended. And now to freeze in the process.
This morning, after a 2 hour delay, it was announced on tv that the buses were running late and parents should take the kids to school in the cars. I called to see if her bus was running late and all I got was a recording, announcing the same as I had just heard on tv. But it went on to say any kids who were late or absent would not be counted as such. Seeing how my car wouldn't start either, she was home all day.
As it turned out, many of the busses fuel was gelling up. Found that out from a friend who drives a bus for the same system dgd goes to.
It's now almost 8 pm and the local city schools have already been announced as closed tomorrow, but so far all the county schools are on a 2 hour delay again. How much sense does that make being it's supposed to be as cold or colder in the morning???
