I could not even imagine that happening, those poor people. My family has been on the fire department since before I was born and it really doens't take much, sorry to say. Anything can start it, from an extension cord ( we had a family in town lose everything because of a bad extension cord plugged into a diesel truck) to a dryer, it doesn't always take a match or a fireplace.
