Then we all come inside, sky started getting that dreaded grey again, and things just went to pot......my boys for a change were like angels (scary though ) and my oldest DD was awesome.......but my 3 and 4 year old seemed be possessed. I go to the bathroom, that's not to much to ask, is it? Come out to my whole bedroom covered in baby powder, not just one bottle, but two!!! I put their noses on the wall, clean up this mess, when I'm done cleaning (not including the laundry from my bed) I let them off the wall. Well I decided to do dishes, turn around and they have gotten into my bobbins for my sewing machine, and have the thread around all the kitchen chairs.....I couldn't believe it. (I was in the same room, but the chairs were behind me) It took me almost an hour to cut off all the thread from the chairs and find all the bobbins, while I did this I sent the girls to their beds. All is fine for an hour or two till it's time to cook dinner, in the middle of dinner and my 4 year old brings my oldest DD and bouquet of flowers......(they were sitting down watching a move nicely whenever I checked on them) Well I discovered it came from a floral arrangement hanging above my bed that was giving to DH and I when we got married. Which since we eloped was the only thing we have from our "wedding" day. I couldn't believe it.....I ended up calling my best friend to come over (DH is away for training) to talk to the girls while I cleaned up and calmed down.....I really was feeling like a lousy mom....I mean I check on my kids constantly when they are not in the same room with me, but obviously this didn't matter......Do you ever have days where you feel like you deserve the worse mother of the year award?

Sorry so long....
Uck, sounds like an awful day for you! I can understand your frustration; it seems like I am always cleaning up one mess, just to turn around to find another one. Try not to beat them-lol.....

As far as me, yup, yesterday I felt like the worst mom in the world. We went to Boston for our son's Make-A-Wish. Aside from his whole encounter w/ Tim Wakefield and watching a game, the only other thing that he REALLY wanted to do was take the Fenway Park tour. We had a printout on the tour-seven days a week, every hour on the hour. There were also some dates listed where there were no tours-no mention about this week. We set out Fri. to go do some things, and we just didn't have time to get over to Fenway which was on the other side of town from our other activities. We told Patrick that we would do it on Sat.-that would be our whole focus on Sat. He was pretty annoyed w/ us, but we reassured him that it would happen Sat. (it was our last day in town w/ a 5:45 flight). So.....yesterday a.m., we get up and check out of the hotel and store our bags and head to Fenway. I had DH call to see what the availability was for tours (only same-day sales). I saw DH's face go pale-he redialed the # and had me listen to the msg-NO TOURS TODAY! I was in shock-then I started bawling and felt like such a heel! DH called the representative we met at Fenway on the day of the Make-A-Wish and she made a few calls. Turns out, there was a public event going on at the park, and she called the organizer and he offered us free tix to the event. We met another representative there, and she asked what parts of the park that he had already seen. When he told her, she was in awe, and reassured him that there was no way that the Fenway Park tour could ever measure up to what he had already seen-that she hadn't ever seen half of the things that he had. So, we hit a few places in the park, took some more pics, and told him that we would give him the $$ that we would have spent on the tour to buy more souvenirs ($66). Thankfully, that appeased him. But yeah, that was right up there w/ the worst mom moment!
