As for the difference - YES!
I bought my 5 yr old "fake" crocs from TRU and when she proved that she would really wear them, I bought her a pair of real crocs. When she put on the REAL crocs, she announced how much better they felt. LOL! I guess from her point of view and not knowing the price difference or any influence of me, she knew the difference. I just love mine! I wear them camping - in and out of the water, sand, mud, rocks and they show NO wear.
