Definately look into it. Dd went to 1 year of preschool, but has been homeschooled ever since, and looking back I wish I could redo that 1 year and not have sent her. She's only in 3rd grade but we are in a coop with all ages from 0 - 18 so I have some knowledge of the older grades as well. Everyone seems to love homeschooling and are learning so much more than I ever learned in public school. The older kids do some of the neatest things, like this year they are going to create an old time radio show with commericals, sound effects, writing, acting, directing, etc. ("Praire Home Companion" type of thing). And they will be looking into getting it on air at one of the local radio or possibly tv stations.

I would suggest looking into the colleges in your area. A lot of them offer dual credit for high school and college. I'm in Indianapolis and I know a lot of homeschoolers take classes at IUPUI downtown. Plus there are tons of great curriculums to use. The web is full of homeschooling info. My dh was a little iffy at first about it, but now he loves it. If he's concerned about getting into college, that's not a problem at all anymore. Most colleges love homeschool students. If he's concerned about socialization, sports, prom, graduation, etc, there are tons of co-ops, homeschool organization, etc. that have things available for homeschoolers. We actually have to work at not overbooking our schedule with activities!
