our HOA wont' allow it either and I am am actually glad. Although I am big on saving energy, I do not want to see someone else's laundry hanging out. It does make it look junky. It just seems that the people around here that hang our their clothes are the same ones who junk up their houses too. I don't know why but it does seem that way. I hand clothes on racks in the bathroom or in the basement. I can open the basement door to let the breeze in. It's not big deal. I think it would be hard to say you can do them but you have to make them look nice. Kind of impossible
