I think most performs do have dance experience, the the exception of maybe athletics and talk show host.

They might not have ballroom experience, but I think anyone that has some form of training has an upper edge. Even Marie Osmond has dance experience, her brother and her did dance and musical numbers on their variety show. Jane Seymour was in a made for TV movie Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader where she did a lot of dancing, and worked with a choreographer. They might not be pro's but they have a lot more training the average person.
