YES. When my nonverbal autistic son was age 3, he somehow got out of the house (and we consistently always locked ourselves in). He probably was gone only 4-5 minutes when we noticed that he was not there. I called to our neighbor friend and asked if he was there (she had a cat that he was fascinated with so I thought for sure he would be there). She had not seen him. I frantically went outside looking for him but he was nowhere to be seen. Then suddenly a large man walks around the corner holding the hand of a young boy. It was my son. It was such a blur, but I ran up to them and thanked him up and down, but mostly concentrated on my son. I remember him saying that he was in the street (very busy street outside our subdivision). I briefly looked at him walking away; looked again and he was gone. That man was a guardian angle. My son couldn't speak at the time no way of telling this man anything, let alone where we lived. I believe.
