My mom and her DH have a plasma that they bought shortly after they came out and paid through the nose for. I don't know if they didn't get it hooked up properly or what, but I think the picture stinks.

My mom totally spoiled us this year at Christmas, and on BF she and my DH went to Kmart, and she bought us a 37 inch Olevia LCD tv that has an amazing picture. She's even asked me if I'd be interested in trading TV's because mine has such an amazing picture. No thanks!

I've also heard that LCD lasts much longer than plasma and is easier to repair, if repairs are needed.
