My oldest is almost 14 and in 8th grade. When we were going to the meetings to move into middle school in 6th grade the principal made a remark that the growth between 6th-8th grade is the 2nd largest mental growth spurt in their life next to the 1st 2 years of life.

That's a lot! Now that we're at the end of it (with our oldest - youngest will be in 6th grade next year) I definately agree. She's gone from my little girl to a young lady. And, there's plenty of drama!
