OMG!! My son is 17 also but never went through any of this drama. He went through that period that he didn't want to talk to his momma about private things that a boy goes through but finally about a year ago, he started giving me details about his life again and we have been close ever since.

My son's are now 21 and 24. The oldest isn't one to talk much, but the youngest....well, I know we all want our kids to "share" with us, but I finally told him "ya know, there are some things that you don't tell the momma until 20 years after the fact"!!! LOL

I always told people that I was so glad I had sons. My husband and I had gone on a field trip with our oldest when he was in 6th grade. Since we were both there, he took a group of boys and I took a group of girls. By the end of the trip, none of my girls were speaking to each other...it was horrible. "This one said this - this one did that" YIKES!! I couldn't wait to get home.

Had I had girls, I would probably see a whole different perspective! Maybe I will have granddaughters.......
