You can do it! I smoked for 29 years and Chantix was my lifesaver! I have been smoke free for 7 months now. It is a miracle drug. As you increase the dosage and go to smoke, the cigarette will taste terrible. I couldn't even be around smoke while I was on it. I did not have any sleep problems as some people mentioned, but when I upped the med to 2 mg./day, I did get indigestion the first week only and all I had to do was buy some Zantac to take during that time. It is the best thing on the market if you have tried to quit before and can't. I used the patch a few years ago but was only able to stay smoke free for 2 months. Good luck and keep us posted.
