Last year we went to H&R Block and their preparation fee was over $500!
Yes, our taxes were more complicated than usual (income tax from 2 different sates and rental income), but I never dreamed we would be paying that much for their services. Maybe they were able to find more deductions than we would have, but we are not going there this year.
