I had to do science fair projects when I was growing up. So far our kids haven't had to do any. I hadn't even thought about it until seeing this thread. They have had other projects but nothing that's the magnitude of a science project. The projects they've had (have an 8th grader & 4th grader) have been things they can do themselves...usually crafty type stuff. They haven't had to build anything. I'm always there if they want/need help, though.
