Emo, Goth, I hear it all the time here with 4 teens.
I don't get the Emo thing, but I'm a mom, so it figures.
The goth thing is confusing to me.
When I was younger *goth* meant a lifestyle, now my kids tell me it's just a way of dressing. Goth also meant a style of makeup (for guys and gals) when I was younger. Evidently, according to my kids, goth doesn't mean the makeup anymore.
2 of my teens have informed me they are going to dress *goth*... to them it means wearing all black clothing. I went through that phase in the late 60's/early 70's, but we didn't call it *goth*.
