If it's a Craftsman garden hose, all Craftsman products are guaranteed for life. Sears (and now K-Mart) are the only stores that sell Craftsman.

My husband buys only Craftsman tools because if they break, you just take them back to Sears and they have to give you a brand new one free of charge.

I know the tools are guaranteed for life. I would think it applies to all Craftsman products. But since you're dealing with Sears, good luck because they'll try to get out of taking care of the product anyway they can. I've had it with Sears customer service (or lack of it!)

Also, they can look up on their computer under your name and find out exactly when you bought that garden hose. Anytime my husband buys a product there, it pulls up everything we've ever bought.

And yes, I'm pretty good about keeping receipts for items. I have two big file boxes that I put everything in.

I just found this on a website about Craftsman. The guarantee for life obviously applies to tools only.
"Craftsman hand tools have an unlimited lifetime warranty but some items are considered specialty tools, and thus not covered under the warranty.
Craftsman Portable Power Tools, Bench Power Tools, Air Compressors and other items carry a one-year warranty; Sears does offer extended upgraded warranties, which in some cases will replace the item as opposed to repairing it. After the merger K-Mart began selling Craftsman products following the merger of Sears and Kmart; K-Mart stores honor the life-time warranties on hand tools as do Sears stores."
