NEVER!!! LOL. When they are too stained or worn for the bathroom they either go to the kitchen to be folded for in front of the sink for when I wash dishes to prevent flooding or they become rags or they go to the free box. The only way I would throw away a towel new or old fresh or worn is if it picked up poop or blood or some such grossity.
