I think its about 25" and about 9 years old. Any ideas?? Is it worth getting it looked at? It cost $15 to take it to the local repair shop & have it looked at. However, as of 2009 don't I have to get some converter box thing anyway?? Im so confused. Please tell me what you think? Should I bother getting it looked at. How much should I be willing to put into it?? TIA. Your advice is appreciated. For what its worth my dh says tv's are disposable these days & to pitch it. He's not as "frugal-minded" as myself. |
If I had to guess, it sounds like the picture tube went bad. They are NOT cheap to replace, and will cost you almost the same as what you would pay for a new set. If it were still under warranty, obviously yes fix it, but being 9 years old it wouldn't be worth it.
