I had to work part of today, so I was taken out to eat yesterday. Enjoyed that very much with dh and 2 youngest sons, but the BEST Mother's Day presnt I've had in a long time was after we arrived home from eating out and shopping. My oldest son, 24 and a Sgt. with the 101st Airborne in Iraq, sent me a GORGEOUS bouquet of flowers in a glass vase. Now, while the flowers were wonderful, what really touched me was that he had thought enough ahead of time to arrive yesterday and he had them send this message on the card:
Happy Mother's Day from an ocean away, Love always, Adam
My oldest has always been a good son, but not particulary demonstrative, and like some males tends to "forget" birthdays and other holidays. So this is why I was so overwhelmed (happily) yesterday.
