I filled up both tanks last month at 3.29 gal.
We didnt use both tanks, but we also have a woodburner. We burned 2 cords or wood at $100 per cord (bought last summer)
I plan on ordering my firewood in june or July to avoid the rush and price increases...So far . it seems I have been smart to do this.
I estimate, for my 4 bedroom home, in Northeastern PA I spent about $650 for the season. I kept receipts and stuff, as I am really trying to track this.
We are also considering replacing our little woodburner with one of those big outdoor jobs. I already called the zoning officer, and we meet the requirements, just need to pay $40 for the permit and get the inspections.
I am also looking at a home size windmill, where we again meet the requirements because we have an extra lot.
