I must be in the minority - I LOVE wedding favors! I find the ones that are most memorable are the ones that are homemade. To me, favors should be more of a 'thoughtful' detail than a 'costly' detail.

I agree that consumable (edible) favors are probably best - both for usefulness and financial abilities.
