Iran will probably see these severe sanctions placed against them as an "act of war" and will try to protect itself.

We have already set up a blockade. That is considered an act of war. Iran has been trying to protect itself from us for a very long time.
Part of the reason that the speculators are driving up the price of gas would be the constant threats against Iran. (Look at a map)
Bush won't go to congress; he'll just nuke Iran. We have to see who wins out. Cheney wants to nuke Iran very badly. Condi is trying to hold him off.
