Random thoughts: my 12 year old had oral surgery yesterday to expose a tooth in the roof of her mouth that may or may not (now that is is exposed) grow down on it's own. We are paying an orthodontist $4000 to fix this problem and bring this tooth down. The ironic thing is her teeth right now are PERFECTLY STRAGHT, so we are paying him to mess up her teeth then straighten them again. According to our regular dentist the tooth may or may not cause problems later on, the tooth could not be seen or felt and did in no way bother or cause DD any pain. I just hope that we made the right decision, which we made in order to avoid any possible complications for her in the future.

My middle DD and her husband are here visiting from Washington, today is their last day here, they leave tomorrow. We will be having a cookout/swimming party this afternoon, so that will be fun. At the same time I am sad because a good friends wedding shower is scheduled for the same time and I won't be able to go because I am hosting a cookout.
