HELLO,

I am 72 and am having a problem trying to show 8 yr. old great granddaughters how to hold their "fingers' with the yarn to control flow and regulate the chain. I am looking for pictures to instruct them, as we are frustrated today, tryng to wrap the yarn around fingers the way I have done it for 50years, but cannot teach them how!

I have looked at several sites for beginning crochet, but no pictures of how to hold the yarn. I don't even remember how I learned, or who taught me! I loop it around my pinkie and around the pointer and hold the chain under the hook with the thumb and middle finger, but there might be an easier way for kids. I am very fast at it, so I know this works, if I can just show them. Thanks for any help. Sylvia
