I groan everytime I hear that phrase! My biggest pet peeve is when I walk in the door from work and within minutes 15 yr old DS is asking that question! He is a major picky eater and isn't going to eat it anyway so what does it matter?! DH does not cook at all but he never asks ~ he is appreciative of anything I make.
