Outside of my husband, I do not. I was very hurt many years ago by a friend that I called my 'best' friend. I now have a lot of friends and it varies as to how strong the friendships are but I no longer call any one of my friends my 'best friend'.

Also, it doesn't help a lot that I am basically a loner that would rather be alone with my animals then with people, sigh. It bugs me about myself.

I've heard others on these boards mention their BFF, best friend, etc... I am a bit envious but I will never go that route again.

How about you? Do you have a 'best' friend? If so, how do you define your friendship?
