Just a note - these umbrellas have to be PUSHED up the pole - there is no crank or pully system. I'm 5'9" so I don't have a big problem with it (especially at this price), but if you're not very tall, or if you're buying for parents who might not have the upper body strength anymore it could be something to consider.
