All wars are horrible, and I completely agree that we should have never stuck our noses into Iraq or Vietnam. But, that doesn't alter the fact that whether they are there because of a draft or because of volunteering, men and women in the military are just doing the job that they are told to do.

And McCain does lean heavily on the whole war hero thing--but I probably would too, if I were in his shoes. Just like, if I were in Obama's shoes I'd use certain things to my advantage as well.
