I tried to just add this to my post above, but, for some reason it wouldn't let me EDIT, so I'll try posting it on its own:
ETA: I did want to address the "Bridge to nowhere" also. I think there is more to the story than just she originally supported it, so why the flip-flopping now??? I hope this get cleared up.
Also, speaking of flip-flopping, I don't think I like that term. I think as we grow and learn, we are entitled to change our opinions on things. EX: so much is being made about Gov. Palin's pregnant DD and how Dan Quayle chastised Murphy Brown for being an unwed mother. This was many years ago, and I think people are entitled to change their mind based on different things. Back in my parent's day, unwed mothers were considered whores and brought shame to the family. Things change, opinions change. I think this flip-flopping term is being thrown around a bit too much.
